Synopsis
After unknowingly participating in a kidnapping, college student Yuuya Nomoto finds his friends brutally murdered by Hitomi Uzaki, the high school girl they attempted to abduct. Forced to drive her to an undisclosed location, he finds himself being wagered as the prize for a death match between two Therianthropes, superpowered human-animal hybrids created through advanced gene therapy. As one of these hybrids, Hitomi uses the speed and fearlessness she gained from her ratel genes to viciously dispatch her foe and save Yuuya from certain death. Waking up hours later hoping the whole event was only a nightmare, Yuuya realizes that he has become embroiled in a secret proxy war between four large Japanese business conglomerates, with the winner taking control of the economy. Yuuya Nomoto بدون اینکه بداند در یک آدم ربایی شرکت میکند و پس از آن دوستانش به طرز خشنی توسط Hitomi Uzaki به قتل میرسند، همان دختر دبیرستانی که سعی در ربودنش داشتند. او مجبور میشود Hitomi را به مکانی ناشناس ببرد و نهایتا به عنوان جایزهای برای مبارزه تا حد مرگ بین دو موجود دورگه انسان و حیوان، انتخاب میشود. Hitomi که خود یکی از این دورگه هاست از سرعت و شجاعت خاصش که از ژنهای گورکن عسل خوار بدست آورده، برای نجات Yuuya از مرگ حتمی استفاده میکند. Yuuya چند ساعت بعد از خواب بیدار شده و امیدوار است که همه این وقایع یک کابوس بوده باشند، اما طولی نمیکشد که متوجه میشود در یک جنگ نیابتی بین چهار شرکت بزرگ تجاری ژاپنی گیر افتاده ، و برنده این جنگ بزرگ کنترل اقتصاد را بدست میگیرد. به عنوان تنها سرمایهگذار Hitomi، زندگی او مستقیما به توانایی Hitomi برای شرکت در مسابقات خونین زیرزمینی که به Killing Bites شهرت دارند، متصل است.
