Having grown up ridiculed for his bizarre name, Nasa Yuzaki strives to be remembered for something more. Fortunately, it seems he's on the right path, ranking first in the nation's mock exams and set to enter his high school of choice. However, everything changes in a single night when he notices a girl across the street on his way home. Enraptured by her overwhelming cuteness, it's love at first sight for Nasa. But in his infatuated daze, he fails to notice the approaching danger speeding down the road and finds himself at death's door. داستان به دنبال شخصیت اصلی ما که اسمش با حروف Hoshizora نوشته شده ولی Nasa تلفظ میشه شکل می‌گیره. در روز امتحان ورودی دبیرستانش Nasa با دختر زیبایی به نام Tsukasa ملاقات می‌کنه. برای Nasa اینطور بنظر می‌رسه که انگار سرنوشت دستش رو به سمتش دراز کرده و بالاخره قراره بهش یک دوست‌دختر بده، ولی وقتی که Nasa با ماشین تصادف می‌کنه و نمی‌تونه تو آزمون ورودی دبیرستان شرکت کنه همه‌چیز بهم می‌ریزه. بعد از اینکه Tsukasa به Nasa‌یی که آسیب دیده کمک می‌کنه، Nasa احساساتشو بهش اعتراف می‌کنه و Tsukasa قرار گذاشتن با اون رو فقط به یک شرط قبول می‌کنه و اون شرط اینه که اون اول باید قول بده که باهاش ازدواج می‌کنه. یک سال بعد ناسا با نمره‌ای عالی تو آزمون ورودی قبول میشه ولی تصمیم می‌گیره به جای مدرسه رفتن کار نیمه‌وقت پیدا کنه و تنهایی زندگی کنه. وقتی Nasa هجده سالش میشه Tsukasa دوباره سر و کله‌ش پیدا میشه و زندگی متاهلانه خوشحال، رمانتیک و مرموزشون باهم شروع میشه.
