هیکیگایا هاچیمن یک دانش‌آموز دبیرستانی بی‌تفاوت و مغروره و کمی پوچ‌گراست. اون معتقده که دوران خوش جوانی چیزی جز یک نمایش بیهوده نیست و هرکسی که خلاف این حرف رو بزنه داره به خودش دروغ میگه.
