The pleasant horror gag comedy centers around the life of Tatami-chan, a sardonic ghost from Iwate Prefecture who is now living in Tokyo among other spirits, supernatural entities, and humans. این داستان کمدی درباره زندگی تاتامی-چانه، یک روح شوخ اهل استان ایواته که الان داره در توکیو بین دیگر روح‌ها، موجودات فراطبیعی و انسان‌ها زندگی می‌کنه. علاوه بر سروکله زدن با امور دگرجهانی و آخرتی، تاتامی-چانِ بی‌کار باید همچنین دنبال کار بگرده و راهی واسه پرداخت قبض‌هاش پیدا کنه.
