داستان در دنیایی شکل میگیره که فقط اشراف زادگان دارای «مانا» هستند و میتونن با هیولاها مبارزه کنند. کوفا فرزند یک خانواده دوک اشرافی است که برای آموزش دختر جوانی به نام مریدا فرستاده شده است. اگر مشخص بشه که مریدا توانایی و قدرت استفاده از «مانا» رو نداره، کوفا باید به صورت مخفیانه اونو به قتل برسونه.
