بالسا یه دختر ۳۰ ساله‌ست که بعد از مدت‌ها به شهرش برمی‌گرده. در طی چند سالی که نبوده تعلیم دیده و به یه محافظ حرفه‌ای تبدیل شده! به خاطر اتفاقاتی که در گذشته افتاده و مجبور شده بوده که ۸ نفر از عزیزنش رو بکشه با خودش عهد بسته که جون ۸ نفر رو هم نجات بده! به طور اتفاقی وقتی در حال عبور از روی یه پل بوده جون یه پسر بچه رو که از بالای پل به رودخانه پرت شده رو، نجات میده و در نهایت متوجه میشه که پسر بچه شاهزاده این سرزمین هست. در یه دیدار مهرمانه شبانه ملکه به بالسا میگه که اونها متوجه شدن که یک روح بدن شاهزاده رو تسخیر کرده و امپراتور در سدد کشتن پسر خودش هست و اتفاقی که اون روز افتاده بوده تصادفی نبوده. ملکه از بالسا خواهش می‌کنه که محافظت از پسرش رو به عهده بگیره و از این قسر و مملکت پسر بچه رو فراری بده. ولی وزیر اعظم و... که متوجه این ماجرا میشن گروهی رو به دنبال بالسا و پسر بچه می‌فرستن...
